Broadway Village was a school related design entry for the Bank of America Low Income Housing Challenge in 2010. Our team, Poly Housing Collaborative, consisted of three architecture students (myself included), three city regional and planning students, one construction management student, three landscape architecture students and three business students. This project was an opportunity to revitalize the historic Broadway Auto Row corridor in Oakland, California. The design consisted of one, two and three affordable bedroom apartments on three floors above a retail flex space.
